Deu Zebra! Quem esperava que vencesse melhor roteiro original e melhor roteiro adaptado – premiações mais importantes da noite – os favoritos ao Oscar, perdeu o bonde. O vencedor na categoria de melhor roteiro original foi “Oitava Série” de Bo Burnham que não está concorrendo ao Oscar em categoria alguma, deixando a ver navios “Green Book”; “Um Lugar Silencioso”; “Roma” e “Vice”. Em Roteiro Adaptado quem levou foi “Poderia Me Perdoar?” de Marielle Heller, deixando no chinelo “Infiltrado na Klan”; “Pantera Negra”; “Se a Rua Beale Falasse” e “Nasce Uma estrela”. Já no nicho da televisão a coisa foi mais equilibrada confirmando as premiações anteriores. “The Americans” levou melhor roteiro de série de drama e “The Marvelous Mrs Maisel” o de série de comédia. Como premiações são uma caixinha de surpresas, mais do que tendências favoritistas – já que, neste caso, a análise é mais técnica do que comercial – surge uma luz no fim do túnel para a última premiação da temporada – O Oscar – mesmo sabendo que ele é estritamente comercial. Afinal, esperança é a última que morre.
